Photos and Cameras. :)

Guess what...! If you couldn't tell by the last two photos in the previous post, I got a camera!

I'd been wanting to get myself a 'good' camera, (or one that would take better photos anyway) for quite a while. But buying something, especially something expensive requires making a decision, and I'm very indecisive at the best of times...

So, I just want to thank God for helping me to know which camera to buy, and who to buy it from. He really made the decision making process easy! For example...

We were looking at a few on gumtree, and I decided to contact a few people. So I sent a text to two people about the cameras they had advertised for sale, asked about the condition, and postage rates, etc. I didn't know which one I wanted, or which one was better; one was brand new in box; the other one was a higher model, but used, and they were basically the same price. But only one replied, so I didn't have to make any decisions - he even accepted the price I offered him which was $85 less than what he asked for!

So I'm very happy with my camera; it manages to take great shots even with a user who knows nothing about photography, (yet)! ... and actually, I don't think I should call it my camera, it should be our camera, because nothing truly belongs to any of us; it all belongs to God. ...And I want this camera to belong to Him, and used by Him too. :)

Please welcome...

Mr Rabbit!

You remember in this post, my sister mentioned that she had always wanted a rabbit, but somehow all the ones she wanted, died, so she got a lamb instead? Well, just a couple of weeks ago, she got another rabbit - just four weeks old, and very cute. So far he has been healthy, happy, and very loved! His name is Mr Rabbit.

We had a cage for him, but when we put him in it, he got out. So while we were fixing the cage up, he stayed in the house for a few days! And as you can see from this photo, he is very mischievous, and we had a hard time keeping him where we wanted him.

When we got him, both of his ears stood straight up, as in the photo above, but... His mother has straight ears and his father has floppy ears. So guess how Mr Rabbit turned out?

Half flop, and half straight! Definitely one of a kind!

Isn't he positively cute?

2014

Well, the calendar is telling me that the year 2013 has ended. If you can believe that, you're not like me. I can't believe it. It seems like I've only just gotten over the fact that it is actually 2013, not 2012, and now I have to face the fact that it is 2014. Oh. Anyway I was just thinking the other day about all the things that have happened over this past year, all the blessings we have received, and all the things we've learned.:)

One of the first things that happened this year, in January, was, I started this blog! Blogging has been a very new experience for me. I've learned that blogging takes more time than I thought, that sometimes it does get discouraging, but it's worth it when you're in it to give, and bless other people. I think my posts improved as they went along. I hope they did anyway. I have to grimace when I look at the first few posts I wrote, and wonder how I ever managed to get any followers. So a super big thank you to all of my 14 followers. :) Which was you favourite post?

Now, it's a brand new year. This year I want to:
-Grow closer to God.
-Grow closer to my family.
-Get to know my friends even better.
-Live for others, and make this my priority.
-Blog more.
-Sew more.
-Write more.
-Weave and spin and cook more.
-Learn some photography skills.
-Be more helpful.
-Overcome my 'fear' of talking to people, especially those I don't really know.
-Practice hard and do well in music.
-Do well in school.
-Learn more.
-Be a blessing. :)

What are your new year's resolutions?
